Chapter 7 – Pressing On Through the Swamp

Knight Ezri pressed forward into the swamp—not because she wanted to, but because she had to. Her path was dangerous, exhausting, and filled with unseen threats. Every step through the bog was a fight against resistance. The land itself seemed to pull her backward, as if daring her to turn around and give up.

But Ezri knew the stakes. She carried something too important to stop. So she trudged on, step by slow, sinking step.

Life is full of moments like this. There are seasons when everything feels like a swamp: discouragement presses down, progress is slow, and hope feels far away. Maybe you’re dealing with fear, grief, temptation, or just the weight of daily responsibilities—and you’re tired. Like Ezri, you may feel alone in the dark, surrounded by shadows and danger.

But here’s the truth: God is with you, even in the swamp. He doesn’t always take us around the hard things, but He walks with us through them. And He gives us strength when our own is gone.

Galatians 6:9 reminds us not to grow weary in doing good. Why? Because in due time, we will reap a harvest—if we don’t give up. Like Ezri, we must press forward through the swampy seasons. The road may be hard, but our mission is worth it. Be faithful. What we carry—faith, truth, love, and the gospel—is too valuable to let the mud stop us.

Key Verse

“Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up.”

Prayer

Dear Lord,
Thank You for being with me even in the swampy parts of life—when things feel heavy, slow, or scary. Give me the strength to keep moving forward, even when I’m tired or afraid. Help me not to give up, because I know You are guiding me and that my purpose matters. Thank You for walking with me every step of the way.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
