Chapter 20 – Carrying the Weight When We Are Weary

After the battle, Ezri searches desperately for her fellow wand-bearers, only to find they are gone or fallen. Exhausted and heartbroken, she joins a group determined to warn the queen and stop the traitor Chancellor Drelthor before more harm can come. The long, grueling ride tests their strength and resolve, and even the bravest warriors struggle under the heavy burden of loss and responsibility.

Sometimes in life, we carry heavy burdens—loss, grief, or the pressure to keep going when we feel too tired to take another step. Like Ezri, we may feel alone or overwhelmed. But God reminds us that He is our strength when we are weak, our comfort in sorrow, and our hope in the darkest moments. Even when it feels like the weight of the world is on our shoulders, God is with us, giving us the courage to keep going and the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Key Verse

“But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint.”
— Isaiah 40:31 (WEB)
