Overview:
Lesson 1—The Foundation of Faith
Bible Passage: Matthew 6:33; Luke 10:38-42; Matthew 7:24-27
Key Verse: Jeremiah 29:11—“For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Activity: As a part of the lesson, your group will create a Graham Cracker house or Manger Scene. This is a great group building experience that will help your students understand the importance of laying the right foundation.
Lesson 2—Merry Christmas
Bible Passages: Luke 2:1-20; Matthew 2:13-16
Key Verse: John 1:12-13—“But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God.”
Activity: As a part of the lesson, your group will play a variation of a “White Elephant” gift-giving game as they learn about the greatest gift of all.
